Ms. Martinez is an eighth generation New Mexican who after graduation attended the University of New Mexico where she was a presidential scholar and honors graduate. After completing her masters program in public administration, she received a juris doctorate from Rutgers Law School. She served as a Trustee and Mayor Giuliani’s representative for seven pension and variable supplement funds of the New York City Police, Fire and Deferred Compensation Board of Directors. Her political experience began as an intern and staff assistant for U.S. Senator Harrison Schmitt in Washington D.C. subsequently working as a national field coordinator for Reagan-Bush in ’84 and was legislative assistant to Congressman Joe Skeen. Ms. Martinez was recently ordained an elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Albuquerque and is a commissioner of the Presbyterian Church of Santa Fe. Her mother and aunt are graduates of Menaul.
