Upper School Math Teacher & Special Assistant to the President

Emmit and Shirley Dewitt have been living in Albuquerque since 1984. Emmit retired as Colonel from the Army after more than 27 years of experience in highly demanding positions in command, schools, teaching and in hardware/software development to include integration testing. One son, Gary, died two years ago. The Gary Dewitt Memorial Scholarship fund was established at Menaul School to honor his memory. The other son, Gregory, completed the Army War College in 2009 and he is presently in command of a brigade at Fort Sill, Ok. On January 15, 2011, their first great grandson was born. As teachers, The Dewitt's loved to help others. Of course Emmit continued to fight for the Cowboys-"Super bowl 2011 baby!"
