Girls Dorm Parent

Sandra grew up in Texas and Oklahoma, graduating from Edmond (OK) Memorial High School where she excelled at volleyball. Sandra participated in the Junior Olympics and went on to play one year for Central State University in Edmond.

While working for Hastings Books, Music and Video, Sandra was transferred to Farmington, NM to open a new store. It was there that she met her husband, Roger Deale. Roger and Sandra married in August of 1991. Their son, Joshua, was born in December 1992. After several moves back and forth between Oklahoma and New Mexico, the Deale's settled in Albuquerque 10 years ago. Josh started at Menaul School his 8th grade year and graduated this past May (2011).

Sandra likes to spend time with the students she has met over the years at Menaul School. During the years since Josh started at Menaul, Sandra has spent her spare time traveling with the sports teams and volunteering for various events, "adopting" numerous students in the process.
In October 2010, Sandra was offered a part-time dorm parent position with Menaul School. She gladly accepted and this year she is looking forward to serving as a full-time dorm parent.

Sandra enjoys spending time outdoors. Especially camping trips to Chama and taking their dogs, Haley and Lilly anywhere close to water.
