English Department Chair

Sharon Rhutasel-Jones has taught at Menaul for over 30 years. She considers the experience one of the great blessings of her life. She loves writing poetry and is currently working on a collection with one of her former students. Their goal is to finish and start looking for a publisher by 2014. Sharon and her husband, Larry, travel every chance they get. Last summer, they went to Africa. This spring they're taking students to London and Paris. Two cats, two grandkids, two sons, hundreds of former students, her garden, cooking, reading, and her husband all bring joy to her life.
