Lindsey R. Gilbert Jr.

President/Head of School

Lindsey is in his sixth year running Menaul School. He loves the Menaul School community and the transformational mission which brings great students to the school. He is also thrilled to be working with this faculty, which so fully embraces the school's mission and challenges and prepares the students well for college and life. He comes to Menaul School after serving and being part of the renaissance of two other Presbyterian related schools including four years at Rabun Gap-Nachoochee School (GA) where he was the Assistant Head of Schools and 17 years at Wasatch Academy (UT) where he held the same role. He also has served as Head of Cambridge Academy (SC) and early in his career as the High School Principal at Academia Los Pinares in Tegucigalpa Honduras. Lindsey's teaching background is in the subjects of English and Religion. He also has an extensive resume as a soccer, basketball and baseball coach. With his free time Lindsey likes to cross country ski, bike, read and hunt with his golden retriever, Copper. He is the proud parent of five almost grown kids and last summer joyfully celebrated 30 years of marriage to his wife, Laurie.
