The Twelve Nights of Christmas
It’s the time of year for Menaul School to start getting ready for Bugg Light Christmas at Menaul. The Bugg Lights have been displayed in the area for over 30 years. Menaul has been stewards of the lights for the past five years. For Live Webcam feed, photos, and more visit: www.bugglights.com
The 2012 year will consist of Twelve Nights of Christmas, with an opening ceremony November 30. The scheduled dates and hours follow:
Friday November 30th 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Opening Night!
Saturday December 1st Sundown – 9 p.m.
Friday December 7th Sundown – 9 p.m.
Saturday December 8th Sundown – 9 p.m.
Thursday December 13th Sundown – 9 p.m.
Friday December 14th Sundown - 9 p.m.
Saturday December 15th Sundown – 9 p.m.
Thursday December 20th Sundown – 9 p.m.
Friday December 21st Sundown – 9 p.m.
Saturday December 22nd Sundown – 9 p.m.
Sunday December 23rd Sundown – 9 p.m.
Monday December 24th Sundown – 11p.m. Christmas Eve
In addition to the light display, Santa has a workshop in the cafeteria where he talks to boys and girls about the upcoming big day. Green chili stew, posole, hot chocolate and other food items are offered in the cafeteria. Each night special entertainment is provided by various community groups.

Over 20,000 programs were distributed to those who attended last year’s Christmas display. (Per City of Albuquerque Stats - Traffic Count: Menaul Blvd. 23,400 cars/day; Broadway 9,400 cars/day) There is no entrance fee. We rely entirely on donations from guests and business or individual sponsors. Advertisements in the program reach many individuals and families and help keep the Christmas lights bright for years to come.
